If you’d like to play at a Rumble Events Bingley event, please email or send us a link to:
- your Electronic Press Kit (EPK). (If you don’t have one yet we think this guide to making your EPK at the Careers In Music Website is pretty good.)
- your tech spec (what kit you need and or what gear you will bring) if that is not in your EPK.
How to get booked
I wanted to share the email that Pete from Messy Eater sent us as a good example of how to get a booking. He wrote:
Hope you’re well!
Friendly opening
I played at the Groovy Happening in Haworth with Beep Beep Argh last month. Johnny recommended I get in touch with you about playing Rumble Up.
Tells us how he knows about us, and links that with a recommendation to get in touch from an artist who’s played for us previously. It’s a good ‘in’
I’m a York-based artist with friends and family in the Haworth / Bingley area. My music has been supported by Apple Music, BBC Introducing (I did a live session last year) and Amazing Radio. I’m playing Camper Calling festival this summer alongside Nile Rodgers & Chic, Primal Scream and more. Your events look awesome - I’d love to come and play!
Establishes his credentials - and it sounds impressive and I’m starting to think he’s a good fit for us - interesting, but what does he sound like?
For fans of: Gorillaz, Beck, Jungle, The Flaming Lips
This is a nice touch - it will both appeal to and help us market him to our audience

A link to an EPK! This is music to our ears. It contains images, quotes, words we can use in our leaflets and socials. He’s made our job so much easier. Spotify and YouTube are also good to have, but the EPK is better! Now I’m looking to see ‘where/when’ I can book him rather than for ‘reasons to’ book him AND I’m not having to do my own detective work and trying to search for him on the web
Tech spec: 1 x lead vocals and electric guitar; 1 x drum kit; 1 x electric bass; 1 x mono synth; and 1 x mono backing tracks
a Tech Spec! - you’ve just saved me an email/whatsapp/text trail. It saves me asking for stuff that you already know I’m gonna wanna know. Priceless. (Some people put this in their EPK)
Everything above gives me confidence that this artist knows what they are doing. It’s pretty comprehensive, but just in case…
Please let me know if you need anything else.
…maybe some quotes! Again establish credibility, and gives me stuff I can use to promote the gig.
“One of the most creative alternative pop acts currently operating in the UK” - Plastic Mag
“Everything the indie-pop world is missing… cutting edge cool” - Dancing About Architecture
“Completely fresh… Messy Eater has a rare kind of vision” - Cheers To The Vikings
Cheers! Pete
